The Power of Being an Example

A Commandment from the Lord

Full-time missionaries, numbering more than 52,000 worldwide, are dedicated servants of the Lord. Their purpose is clear: to invite others to come unto Christ. They serve as messengers of hope, guiding individuals towards faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. Living as an example of the believers means letting the light of the Savior beam from our eyes and hearts. When others see our actions and hear our words, they should sense the radiance of Christ within us. Our good works become a testimony of our faith, and the love we extend to those around us reflects Christ’s love for all His children.
Sharing the Gospel: Invitations and Opportunities
As member missionaries, we have the privilege and responsibility to share the gospel. We can invite friends to attend church with us, participate in Church activities, and explore the doctrines of the gospel. The Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, plays a vital role in our missionary efforts. We can invite our friends to read it prayerfully, knowing that it contains the power to touch hearts and change lives.
Embracing Technology: Spreading the Light Online
In today’s digital age, technology provides new and exciting ways to share the gospel. We can direct friends and acquaintances to mormon.org, where they can explore the profiles of Church members and learn about our beliefs. By linking our blogs and social media profiles to mormon.org, we create opportunities for others to discover the light of Christ through our testimonies.
You Can Be the Light
In a world yearning for hope and truth, you can make a difference. By being an example of the believers, you illuminate the path for others to find their way to Christ. You have the power to invite, embrace, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. As you live in accordance with His teachings and let His light radiate through you, you fulfill the call to be a member missionary. In doing so, you become a beacon of hope and love in a world that desperately needs both.
Be the Light, Share the Love
Let us heed the call to be examples of the believers. As you go about your daily life, look for opportunities to share the gospel, whether through simple acts of kindness or inviting someone to learn more about your faith. Embrace technology as a tool to spread the light of Christ. Above all, let your life be a testimony of your faith, a shining example of the believers in Jesus Christ.
